OUR SKI TOURING EQUIPMENT FOR RENT
TOURING SKIS AND BOOTS FOR THE WAY UPHILL AND DOWNHILL
The motto: lightweight with maximum stability
With touring skis, the weight of the material is a decisive factor for the ascent. The lighter the ski, the faster and more effort-saving the way up. The touring skis for rent are therefore made of a special material composite that brings significant weight savings.
At the same time, however, stability and robustness are also crucial for the descent, so that you can always keep control even in unpaved terrain. Thanks to innovative manufacturing methods, the skis offer exactly this bridge and thus the perfect equipment. The package with the skis also includes telescopic poles and skins to ensure sure-footedness on the way up the mountain.
The touring ski boots in combination with the binding ensure the greatest possible freedom of movement on the ascent and a firm grip on the descent. The special binding promises a natural flow of movement and also offers enough leeway to adjust the speed to the landscape conditions. The entire package is perfectly coordinated and you can start your tour right away.
AVALANCHE SAFETY EQUIPMENT AS A LIFESAVER
Prepared in the event of an avalanche
When ski touring, the danger of an avalanche is omnipresent. Especially in such a snowy ski area as Zermatt, the importance of avalanche protection equipment cannot be overstated. We therefore recommend that you always carry the following products, especially when touring off the secured slopes:
Avalanche transponder: This transponder transmits your position in case you are buried or have to rescue a buried victim.
Shovel and probe: With these utensils you can quickly dig through the masses of snow. Time is precious when rescuing a buried victim.
Avalanche backpack with airbag: In the event of an avalanche, you can open the airbag to ensure that you stay on the surface of the avalanche.
These products can also be rented from the Bayard shop on site. Our staff will be happy to advise you on how best to stow the equipment and use it in an emergency.
